The aftermath.....

Well we are back from our crazy whirlwind trip to Denver. We found our apartment and think it will be a good fit for our little family. It located in Thornton, and is only 7 miles from Tom's work! Can I just tell you how glad I will be to not be paying nearly $500 in gas every month!!! Yipee! Elle did so good on the plane, she slept the whole time both there and back...it was so funny, when we took of it was like we knocked her out...she automatically fell asleep. I think it was the feeling of the pressure from the climbing of the plane. Tom and I had a crazy time getting to Denver as we missed our first flight..(thank you closed I-15), but were able to catch a flight 1 hour later. We lucked out because the rental car company threw in a free GPS because we had to wait awhile so that saved us. It was so nice to be with Tom uninterrupted. I kept joking that it was nice to get away and get to remember that we really do like each other. I missed my other babies and it was so nice to see them today. Thanks again to Grandma and Grandpa Lillywhite and Candi and Kelly for watching them. Our apartment is nice and big, it has 2 big bedrooms and 2 baths so plan your vacations to Denver as slots are filling up fast at the Lillywhite Hotel. I will post more later... my house is a mess and we have the inspection tomorrow afternoon. The games are officially beginning as the reality that we are really moving is setting in....YIPEE!!!

We are in Denver...

I am in the clubhouse of an apartment complex in Brighton waiting to see an apartment. I have to admit now that we are here and looking at apartments I am going to miss my house even more...it will just be hard to go back to apartment living....blah..Oh well as long as I have my family I guess it will always be home. The flight was good, Elle fell asleep as soon as the plane took off...

Well I better go, I'll let you all know were we end up....

Adios...for a little while...

I thought I would post real fast tonight as I don't know if I will get around to it tomorrow...this post will be very silly if I do indeed post tomorrow but oh well. Tom and I are meeting his parents in Logan tomorrow to drop of the kids for the weekend (YIPEE!!!). Good ole A&W is calling Tom's name so we are going to meet them for lunch....yum-o! Anyways yesterday was an eventful day, Candi and I decided to go to Tai Pan Trading (thanks mom) and do a little shopping. We found some fun things and on the way out they had these Delicious chocolates (Studio V....i think) that of course we had to try. Well they had these yummy, and gorgeous chocolate covered almonds half price...so I had to get some...and so did Candi. I figured they would make a cute thank you gift for Kathryn so I made a card to match..I think it turned out good...considering... After Candi and I got home we found out that Erik and Jennie had fallen out of the wagon and got hurt pretty bad...poor kids. I watched the babies while Candi and Kelly took them to the Doc. Erik has a broken collar bone. Poor Boy, he had had more X-Rays and the such at 3 years old, than most adults I know. I guess we all know he is all boy...Anyways it was nice to be able to sit with the other kids, I keep thinking about how hard it will be to not just run over to Candi's house, and not be able to help out. I'm going to miss everyone so much...Any ways, I better make dinner..cereal counts right? Tom and I our off to Denver on Friday morning so I'll for sure post then...Adios...

Mothers Day...and such...

Well this weekend was a whirlwind of activity as Chris and Krystal can attest too. Tom and Chris spent all day Saturday working on the downstairs bathroom. Tom and Chris downed a lot of Mt. Dew and we were all awake until 4 am in the morning working on it. Tom joked that we have great taste in friends but can't say the same for Chris and Krystal...In all honesty I am going to miss being able to do that with Chris and Krystal. It will be hard being so far away from everyone.
My wonderful hubby woke up with the babies on Sunday morning (Mothers Day) and let me lay in bed and get ready while he cooked me breakfast and helped the kids make me cards. It was so sweet and helped me remember how lucky I am to have my family. It was a good day and just nice to be with each other.
Tom's work is sending us out to Denver this weekend so we can find a place to stay and get things moving along. Rileys only criteria is that we find an apartment with a swimming pool...I guess we have to find something to make up for leaving his backyard and friends! I'm just excited to spend some time alone with Tom (and Elle)and get to focus on what we are going to do, and where we are going to live..that's a thought!!
Sorry the posts have been a little more sparse I imagine as we get closer and closer to the move they will even spread out further... P.S. This Mothers Day card is not my best work, but considering I whipped it out in less than 1/2 hour I was pretty happy...also the pics of The Boys were taken at 3:00am so that explains the goofiness...

The Joys of Pregnancy...

No I'm not pregnant...can you even imagine?
Poor, sweet Becky is pregnant. I am so excited for her and Jim but as many of you already know when Becky gets pregnant she gets sick, not just a little morning sickness, but full fledged vomit fest, constant nausea and the whole works, and it's not just in the mornings... It's times like these that I wish I lived closer so I could come help with it all. Anyways I just wanted to give a shout out to Becky and let her know that we are thinking about you and so excited for a new baby...here's to keeping your dinner down....love ya!!!

P.S. Don't they have the cutest kids ever? I vote for at least 3 more...

For Beck.....and Eli...

For those of you who don't know Eli calls Beck, "Beckness Manatee", and sings this song to him. Lucky for us! Riley, Brookie and I have had this song in our heads 24 hours a day. Just yesterday Tom got home at 3am, I woke up to get a drink and as I laid down to fall back asleep this song came to my head...at least it's a cute song....and "Beckness Manatee...you are the one for me....sent from up above....you are the one I love...."

Going on a field trip....

Today was Rileys last kindergarten field trip. Lucky for Riley (and me) Tom was able to go with us and we had a fun time. It was at Cold Springs Fish Farm (I think that is the name). All the kids were able to catch a tiny little trout and we had a picnic. We let Brookie catch a fish, she was a little nervous but was so excited. I have to admit, I kind of had a hard time with it all. I am all for fishing and even keeping/killing (how ever you want to look at it) but as I watched 90+ 5 heralds torturing these little trout I was a little edgy. The kids were just flopping those poor fish everywhere, one little boy kept holding his little trout out of the water and saying "look it's talking." I don't know I just have a hard time watching them suffer. But what ya gonna do, I don't want to be the psycho mom anymore than I already am...hehehe... That being said I was in charge of putting our two little fish in the buckets and taking them to get whacked...as I sit here I wondering how Tom lucked out of that? Oh well, we had a picnic lunch with all the kids and then played on the grass and in a big volleyball pit. It was so nice to have some time together with my hubby...even if it is with a gaggle of kindergartners. I am once again nominated as the worse mom ever, poor Elle got sunburned today, just on her right arm...honestly what is my problem? I feel horrible about it , and if she has skin cancer later on we all know who to blame...

P.S. I have two dead 6 inch trout in my freezer if anyone is interested....food storage anyone?

We're back.....

We finally broke down today and signed up for Comcast Internet...finally. This is the first time in nearly 5 years that we have had to pay for Internet so I can't really complain, we had a good run... Tom is almost done with finals and I could not be happier. Just the internship that his new HR position will cover and we are done....YIPEE!!! I can't imagine a world without homework or finals...so nice. It has taken so long but has been worth it. On Wednesday Krystal, Kishell and I took all the babies on a free front runner ride. Lets just say 2 1/2 hours later I was wondering the wisdom of it all. We rode from the Roy station to the Woods Cross station and back. It was sooooooo busy, I guess that is to be expected when it's free. I had Elle strapped to my back in the back pack and Riley and Brookie walking. I had to stand the whole time from Woods Cross to Roy with Elle asleep in the back pack. My back was killing me and we were the entertainment for the fully loaded train. Amazingly no one was interested in offering us their seat...oh well. A group of Grandma and Grandpas did take Riley and Brookie on their laps (I was standing directly by them) for the whole ride back...Yes, Brookie wants to be kidnapped. All in all it was good that we went but I am looking forward to riding it tomorrow with the assistance of Tom. We are going to go with Candi and Kelly to gateway with the kids. I need a break and I guess that will do. Krystal came over tonight and we got stuff ready for the Mothers Day project group I am hosting next week so look for some pictures tomorrow. I'm gonna go cuddle in bed with my baby and hope that Tom will get home early again like last night (12:45am), I can't wait for a normal schedule....only 6 weeks...YIPEE!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I am posting from Burger King...yes Burger King. They have a wifi spot and for the past 2 days we have had no Internet access. You see Tom and I have been swiping Internet from one of our neighbors with out a secured connection. Well as of yesterday it went bust....crap. We are rethinking the free Internet thing. This is especially frustrating considering Tom is in finals hence the burger king wifi. Soooo until we figure something out this may be it for a while. Off to eat some fries.....

Hmmmm....

I debated whether or not to do a a post. We really have had an uneventful weekend and Monday. I guess that is good considering how busy we have been lately. Elle is sick, or maybe she is cutting teeth. I'm not quite sure but she is ornery and has a runny nose so even though I am a mother of 3 it is any ones guess as too what is going on. Sad...I know. I did mop my kitchen today which was in dire need of it. You know your house keeping skills need some assistance when your son comes home from school, sees the clean floor and asks,"Momma, who's coming over? Why did you clean today?" So sad, but as they say out of the mouths of babes. Amazingly no one was coming over I was just sick of dirty, crumby feet. I guess that is the perk of hardwood floors. Tom is in finals and I can not wait to be done. I don't know what we are going to do with out school constantly hanging over our heads. I'm sure we will find something else to occupy ourselves with...I will post again tomorrow hopefully with something a little more exciting than mopped kitchen floors....

Random thoughts...

Well we have had a lot happen in the past week. We sold the house and it seems as though it is good to go, and we have a solid buyer. It's always scary though because you never really know if it is going to go thru until the closing. Luckily our realator wrote in the contract that is she walks aways after the 31st of May she forfeits (to us) $2000. At least that would buy us some time. I feel good about it though so hopefully it will all work out..at least it has to this point. Tom and I went on our Anniversary date Sat. Emma was nice enough to watch our kids while we road trax down to the gateway and window shopped and ate dinner. It was nice to have some time to ourselves even though we hardly knew what to do with ourselves. I have been fighting a cold all week and was probably not the most fun to be around but we had fun no less. Tom is in finals week and it has been stressful but I just have to remind myself this is it...no more finals...ever....or at least for a while. On our anniversary we had dentist appointments...so romantic...and of course I had 3 cavities. I have to say I was actually excited about this because we haven't been to the dentist in 3 1/2 years...horrible I know. I was reminded of how much I hate the dentist...I mean honestly do you have to rip my gums apart. It's like they are applying as much pressure as humanly possible and then are amazed when the tiny pick slips on my wet teeth. OUCH!! Anyways enough of that, since anniversaries are a big thing for me I stayed up late and cooked him his favorite brownies, cleaned the house, and made him a card. I just like the sappy stuff. It was good and I can't hardly believe it has been 8 years, but 3 kids and 40 lbs later I shouldn't seem so surprised right? Last night I had the purse party and it was so fun. She has such cute stuff. I got a darling new black bag and some travel bags for the kids (Denver). It was so nice to have Jen G. come to it. I haven't seen her since we moved and it was so nice to catch up and envy her post baby body. So that's our week in a nut shell, busy buy happy. Tom is finishing finals this week and then we should really be able to focus on packing and such. I really need to get motivated but I'm just planning on making my family come pack us the night before........(hehehe). Oh yeah the video is of Elle, and yes....I sound like a psycho mom, but I always do. Elle has learned how to baby sign, NONI, which means nursing or drink. It is so cute and now she does it all the time whether she wants to nurse or not. What a goof ball...

Purse Party

I have been meaning to post pictures of all the cute bags/purses that I got from the purse party at Suzannes house. Anyways just thought I would so you can see all the cute stuff she has. She says her inventory changes often so she may or may not have the exact bags you see. They were all reasonably priced ranging from $10-$35 with a few of the nicer bags around $45. Anyways hope to see you all there (open house from 6:30pm-8:00pm). It should be fun.

P.S. Emma will also have a Lia Sophia display here too...(love it).

Happy Anniversary Honey...

8 years ago today I married my sweetheart in the Bountiful Temple. He is my better half and my best friend. We have had probably the most rewarding and difficult year of our marriage the past year and are still kicking, .....and kissing. I can't believe how fast time goes but I guess thats ok since we have eternity.
So here are the top 8 things I love about being married to you....
1. Someone to always laugh with and at me...
2. You gave me 3 amazingly beautiful kids....I couldn't have done it without you.... :)
3. You always hold my hand...and put up with my bare feet
4. You're crazy cute...and have the cutest butt...there I said it....
5. You sacrifice Mind (School), Body(no sleep), and Soul (Golf?) for me and the babies...
6. You are a great provider, I never have to worry about "making" it...
7. You never complain about me taking time for myself...in fact you encourage it...
8. You are always striving for our eternal family, and for that, I love you more than anything...

I love you Tom...heres to 80 more years....at the very least...

Bed time stories...Lillywhite style...

Bedtime in our house is always interesting. With Tom's schedule at least 5 nights out of the week I go it alone. I have to say we have worked out a pretty good schedule and most of the time the kids are in bed and asleep by 9pm. We usually sing a song, read a book, and say prayers. Last night the kids decided they wanted to tell stories and this is what transpired. I especailly like how in Brookies version of Goldilocks and the 3 bears Goldilocks gets ran over. I realize how embarrased Riley gets when he is in front of the camera. I guess he is like his Daddy. Riley has been growing up so fast. I try and remember to slow down and enjoy these minutes because all too often I am just rushing to the next thing. What cute kids I have, I hope they know how glad I am that they are mine.

Extreme Makeover Lillywhite Edition...

Here are some pictures from this weekend. Thanks again to everyone who came and helped. The house looks great! As you can see the kids had a blast. No, Beck didn't go savage on anyone he was just loving the RedVines. We spent all day outside, Tom tilled the back yard to get it ready to seed, Asia planted flowers and painted, and Eli was a rockstar with the caulk and paint. We also had Krystal and Chris help us paint and watch the babies, and Emma and Brad help us paint. I believe Tom would have likely plunged to his death many times if Brad hadn't been holding the ladder. It was great, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without everyones help. Sadly in spite of sunblock, a hoodie and me keeping her in the shade, I managed to get Elle sunburned. So we will know in 25 years when she has skin cancer where she got it from!(Yes I'm a horrible mom!!!) Poor Girl! We have an offer on the house and are in the process of counter offering so we should know by tomorrow evening if anything is going to happen. Anyways thanks again to all who have helped with the house over the past 6 months. We love you!

Now back to our regularly scheduled program....

Well yesterday I had a doctors appointment for my ears. As many of you know I have quite the long history of hearing loss and if you spend enough time with me have heard me say more than a couple of times.."what?" I went to the ENT clinic at Mckay. It was good, the audiologist informed me that I have moderate hearing loss and should look into hearing aids...are you kidding me? What could be worse for my poor husband than having his 26 year old wife show up at his work with double hearing aids. I was literally laughing my head off when she told me. That is sooooo much worse than even having braces as an adult. Now don't get me wrong I am not anti-hearing aids, just anti-myself in hearing aids...especially right now. Well the Doctor talked to me and said that he first looked at my hearing test and was like, ok moderate hearing loss we can deal with this, but then looked at my chart and was like whoa! she's really young to have this much hearing loss. He informed me that it is likely genetic and something that hasn't probably changed much since I was little. He said he would hold off on hearing aids at least for a while since I am "catching" at least 92%-96% of all the conversations. Awesome!!! I just laughed, I always thought I was an old soul... I have to go back in a year and have it rechecked so we will see if it gets any worse. So don't be offended when I say "What?" all the time, now you know why...

Haircuts....finally

Well I haven't had a cut or color since the beginning of December and was looking rather haggard. Tom was so sweet and sent me today to get it cut. It was so nice to have a break from the kids and just have some girl time. Tom decided to come and meet me since he was already near the salon. Tom and Brooke have been talking for sometime about her cutting her hair. We have never really done a real haircut on Brookie so I was hesitant to try and do it myself. I decided to have Tom bring her there and let her get her hair cut. She was so excited and nervous. It turned out so cute and I feel like a new woman too. What a good hubby I have...We had the second walk thru today on our house. It sounds like we should be getting an offer tomorrow so that should be...interesting.
Also here's a shout out to Jed on his new job...way to go...and hurray for weekends and nights off....

What a cutie...she loves it...

As I noted in a previous post Elle was crawling...what I may have failed to note was that she was only fast on carpeted areas. Well since the main level of our house is all hardwood and tile floors we were able to keep her quarantined in bedrooms. As soon as she hit the threshold to the hardwood floors she was stuck, not unlike a baby whale, flailing all arms and legs but going no where. Well as you can see she has mastered the art of crawling on the hardwoods. No area is off limits and of course she flocks to the dirtiest places first, bathroom floors. As a matter of fact I found Riley yesterday laying on the bathroom floor trying to coax Elle to come to him. Yeah, I taught him well... Its funny how things change, with the 1st child you are so anxious for them to crawl and walk, with the 2nd the novelty hasn't quite worn off and while you may not be encouraging them to crawl you aren’t discouraging them to, well I am on the 3rd child. While I am excited for her to grow and develop I am actually dreading her being mobile...like I said...horrible mom...It just was so nice to be able to plop her on the floor with toys and her to stay there. Oh well, I guess the all have to grow up sometime, and she is soooo cute with those chubby thighs...it's quite the miracle she can move as fast as she does...

P.S. We had someone walk thru the house today, and they want to do a second walk thru...of course they called Tom's phone and by the time we got the message it was after 9:00pm. We are keeping our fingers crossed...

We thank Thee, O God, for a Prohpet...

What a beautiful meeting yesterday. I was so touched by the Solemn Assembly in which our new Prophet, President Monson, was sustained. I was 14 when President Hinckley was sustained and I remember very little of the actual meeting. I was so overcome with the power of our new prophet and was moved when just the 1st Presidency sustained him. It was so neat to see them go thru the each auxiliary of the church and have him sustained. I could feel the spirit testify that he is a true prophet called of God. It was interesting because as I talked with Candi and Asia we all said how we noticed that he looked different. It is the mantel that is on him now and it is amazing how it can cause such a physical change in appearance. You can literally see the weight that is now on his shoulders. I feel so blessed to have the gospel in my life and so glad that I am able to teach my own children about our Savior and the amazing gift he has given us. We are all so blessed, I know that the church is true, I can feel it in the core of my being and feel so grateful to have this weekend to have my spirtiual cup refilled.

She's Crawling!!!!

It's official she's off and crawling. Who knew a baby this big (20+ lbs) could be so mobile? Elle has been able to get pretty much were ever she wanted to for the last week or so by rolling and army man crawling. Well just today I had her on the floor in my room and the big full length mirror was about 5 feet in front of her and she crawled to it. It was SOOO cute and too funny. When ever she sees herself in the mirror she squeals and waves at that "other" baby! In fact when she finally made it to the mirrow today she nearly pulled it over on herself trying to "find" the baby behind it! She is growing up so fast and I am even more grateful for my hardwood floors. She is still too slippery to get a real good grip on those so she can't crawl very far on those. Though it does lead to a lot of whining that she can't get were she is going. I know 8 months isn't really that early to cut teeth or start crawling but both Riley and Brooke were 10 months for both. I guess she feels like she is missing out on too much so she wants to keep up...

Sympathy Cards..

In my card swap group this month we are doing sympathy cards..It is so hard to make a sympathy card. My style is often cute and funky and those just aren't words I would use to describe a sympathy card so this month really stretched my creativity.
Sadly this is the best I could come up with. Today was a good day, my throat is sore again and I am just praying it is not strep...again. Candi and Byron and Cassie all have strep...sorry, our family just likes to share..

1st Tooth

Well the picture says it all..we finally understand why Elle has been so fussy. She cut her first tooth. I was trying to get something out of her mouth and felt something REALLY sharp..yep a tooth. This should make for some interesting feedings! You would think after 3 kids I would see all the signs but of course I missed them. I did give her some Motrin tonight..a little late I know but hopefully she can get some rest. Riley and Brooke didn't cut teeth until they were 10 months so I just wasn't even thinking about it..poor girl..

More Easter Weekend

Well I put together the pictures from the dinosaur park. We went on Monday and it was so nice. My phone accidently fell in the Ogden River and after quite the debate I decided to go in after it, no sooner did I retrive it (with huge fish and what we think was a muskrat swimming around it) did I hear a splash and see Kates shoes floating. Asia retrived it and amazingly I tried to turn on my phone today and it works...so funny. Now I have to try and sanatize it so it dosen't reek like the river.

Today has been one of those days, since last night I have been weepy all day. I don't know if it is finding out that a 12 year old boy from our old (S. Ogden) ward passed away in his sleep on Sunday or something else. I have just been thinking about how fragile life is. I hope I show my kids enough how much I love them. I need to do better with letting them know they are the reason I wake up in the morning...

We had a good Easter Weekend. Ken and Kathryn were kind enough to come up on Friday, spend the night and work all day Saturday on our house. Ken secured and otherwise rebuilt our sad excuse for a deck. It is so nice to be able to walk on it without the fear of plummeting to your death. The kids love it and we have already bbq'd on it. Kathryn and I met Kelly and kids at the WestPoint Easter Egg hunt on saturday morning. We pulled up right as the kids were springing to the field in search off eggs so we missed it. Luckily 2 nice girls loaded my kids up with treats and after playing in the park with their cousins the disappointment was soon forgotten. Fred and Sarah came up later Saturday afternoon and helped lay bark in front of the house. I made an early Easter dinner and it was nice to spend some time visiting with everyone. My kids were all sick again, fevers, cough, runny noses but we were in charge of sharing time so we dragged all the kids to church. Aside from the boogery noses they all looked very cute in their Easter garb. Mom and Dad had dinner and an Easter Egg hunt at their house and it was so nice. The weather was warm and it actually felt like Spring. It is so nice to be able to spend some time outside. Tom has been working so hard to get the house ready to sell and we actually listed it on Thursday. We have already had a few people come thru it so hopefully it will sell fast...we are praying. I am going to be so sad to leave our house but I am getting more and more excited about Denver. Tom's work is so excited to get him out there, we even found out they already have an office set aside for him and it has a view of the mountains!!!! This is big news, seeing as he has been working from what is the equivelent of a guard shack on a dark and cold dock for the past year. I am also so excited to get him on a regular schedule and have help with bedtime. Anyways I will post more later, I better go to bed. I stay up way to late with Tom gone, I guess that is one of the things that will change once he is 9-5.

Let the Games Begin....

Well our house is slowly becoming more and more like a three ring circus. Between Toms school, selling the house, moving to Denver, and 3 sick kids, our house is in a constant state of insanity. I am trying to keep things in check and not get too stressed out. I figure it all will work out somehow whether I stress about it or not. We are meeting with a Realtor tomorrow to get the house listed. So I have been trying tonight to get the house ready but with 3 sick kids it has been interesting. Riley was home from school today...AGAIN.....with strep throat. I seriously feel like people think we are hypochondriacs. Brooke has already woken up twice in the past 2 hours she has been in bed, so this could make for an interesting night. This picture is what happens when I leave Tom in charge of the babies while he is on the phone. Luckily no one was hurt. I have to remind myself to let my kids be kids and not get so stressed out..this was one of those times!!

Man Cold

I think all women can relate to this right...

Rub a dub dub...

Well after 2 Dr's appointments and a week of thinking I was going insane I finally found out that I was sick, in fact that I had strep. Mind you this is after I spent the day out and about at the movies and etc. and then went to church the next day and taught a room full of 5 year olds. And we all wonder how we keep getting sick....Sorry. Needless to say our with all the runny noses and sore throats there have been a lot of baths and showers in our house. Elle has been on a serious antibiotic and in return has gotten some serious diaper rash. We have been giving her baths and showers at least twice a day to help keep it clean. She loves the bath and has actually recently fell in love with the shower. She just completely relaxes. It is so cute, the moment she gets in the shower she rests her head on your shoulder. Last week she almost fell asleep in the shower and when I did finally pull her out she fell asleep wrapped in a towel. It was so funny but of course I didn't take any pictures...duh. I have also been wondering if any other moms use the bath for pure entertainment purposes. Often I will just throw Riley and Brooke in the bath and let them play for 30+ minutes. Sadly by the time I pull them out they look like human raisons but I have been able to get some things done and they ahve been entertained! Anyways I hope you enjoy the pictures and as for the ones of Tom and Elle in the shower; for all you know he is wearing a bathing suit...hehehe.

These are a few of my favorite things....

I noticed that my last couple of post have been quite the downers. Needless to say in the name of "count your many blessings". I give you a few of my favorite things...these are not in any particular order....

*Hot baths, nothing quite soothes MY soul quite like a long, scalding hot bath... (I try to make this a nightly ritual..)

*Crisp, clean sheets...couple this with the aforementioned and I am in heaven...

*Good Movies...old, new, scary, funny, I don't care as long as it's good...(We just saw "Horton Hears a Who" yesterday and we give it 2 thumbs up!!)

*Brand new babies, I think I am cursed to be eternally baby hungry there is nothing quite like a new baby (Mindy is already making me jealous with baby Peyton)...

*Oreo Cookies and Cold Milk, need I say more....really...

*Acqua Di Gio, preferably on Tom but I don't discriminate :)

*Americas Funniest Home Videos, I'm old school I know but nothing is better than a good belly laugh at someone else's misfortune. (I still laugh out load when I think about the lady on the motorbike, giving the kiss of death....Candi? Kelly? you know what I'm talking about!)

*Thunderstorms, possibly my favorite kind of weather, especially when cuddled up with someone I really like....

*Sleeping with my babies in my bed, call me crazy but I love having them in bed with me, so does Tom and I really do miss it when I finally get them sleeping in their own beds. Sure they get sweaty and wiggly but there is nothing quite like a sweet baby to cuddle with, especially when Tom doesn't get home until 2 or 3am.

*Girlfriends: I feel so blessed to have so many close girlfriends. I love the long phone conversations, the play dates, the girls nights out and the (of recent) IM conversations. You all know who you are and I don't know what I would do without you all.....

*Being Married: Sure there are the fights the annoying habits and the full release of any reservations when it comes to bodily noises but who cares....being married rocks. I get to have my best friend with me all the time, and he "gets" me completely. I wouldn't trade it for anything..

*My Kids: along the same lines of the previous, sure you get stretch marks, and no sleep, rare showers and even less time alone there is nothing like being "the one" they want when they are scared or hurt, or just sad...love it!

*Blogging: yep I love it, it's awesome to stay in touch with everyone, and for the first time in a long time I am finally keeping some sort of a journal.

*Family: As I'm sure most of you know family is the end all with me...it all begins and ends with family. It is by far my most treasured possession. This includes my little family and all of my extended family. When I married Tom is wasn't "his" family and "my" family it was our family and I feel blessed to have in laws that mean so much to me. On my side it has been so nice to live so close to everyone and that is by far the hardest thing about leaving to Denver.

Well hopefully that was a more upbeat post, I now tag the following to list their favorite things:

Jenny

Jen (yes, you Jennifer Gilbert!)

Mindy

Amy Briscoe

Amy Lillywhite

Just another day in Paradise?

We ended up taking Elle to the doc's yesterday. Sure enough she has double ear infections. Poor girl. The Dr put her on the strongest med he could. The possible side affects include severe diaper rash, a red poops. This should be fun...
Well I think the reality of moving is finally hitting Tom and I. I feel like the past year was such an emotional roller coaster, Tom got a new job, we had a baby, we bought our first house. Just as things were settling down, everything gets turned upside down again. I know it is what we are suppose to be doing but I guess I just am afraid to walk into the darkness. I want to see the light and maybe I'm just scared to take that first step. It all seems so scary and stressful. The crying has started for some reason it always happens when I'm in my car driving. Probably because it's the only time I can really sit and think by myself. I am going to miss everyone so much. I keep teasing Tom that it is like we are going away to college, since we never really went away when we were young. I just have to remember, like Becky was telling me today it's all about faith. I have to have faith that it will all work out, just like President Hinckley always said. My ears are still killing me so after nearly a week of putting up with it I finally went to the Dr. and just my luck he can't find anything wrong with me...are you kidding. I wanted to die...what a waste of $20. Even worse the Dr. came in reeking of Doritos,so sick when you haven't been eating them. I half expected him to have orange fingers. This is why I never go to the Dr.'s for myself, they usually just say sorry nothing we can do...so I'm doped up on Advil and Sudafed. Ken, Kathryn and Marianne came and visited us today on the way to take Marianne to the airport. Brookie was so excited to see them. After they left she kept saying, "Next time can I go home with Grandma?" She loves spending time with them so much. In fact when they are with her they don't want to come home. Makes me feel great, huh?
Asia was a sweetheart and watched Riley and Brooke while I went to my Dr.'s appointment and even made dinner for us. It was nice to not have to think about it. Tomorrow Tom and I are going to work on the yard. We have so much to do, baby steps.... Well I'm gonna climb back in bed and finish watching "Moonstruck", funny it brings back memories of my childhood. I remember watching it when I was little, ahh the memories, now if only Tom was home it would be perfect...

My ear is killing me!!!

I think I have been blessed to get an ear infection. It has been killing me on and off for 3 days now. I keep hoping that it is going to go away. But no such luck. i guess the idea of dragging three kids to a Dr's office is just not that appealing. I'm giving it another 24 hours with some Advil and then I will try and figure something out. Today was a good day. I think the reality of us moving is finally setting in and the stress is slowing moving in. We have so many loose ends to tie up before we move. It will all work out it always does. Anyways I am going to pop some medicine and try to fall asleep. Elle has a cold too so she didn't sleep to well last night. The daylight savings time is also killing me, I can't seem to get used to it and it is throwing off Elle's bedtime. Sorry about the whiny post...today really wasn't that bad.

3 year old with golf club + 6 year old Sheriff = ouch!

Today was a good day. I finally made it back to the gym after a long hiatus. It was good to finally get my butt moving again and it gave me a chance to visit with Candi so that is always good for the soul. Candi took Brooke home with her today and so after Riley got home from school we went to pick her up. Well we were hanging out for awhile when the kids went outside. No longer than 10 minutes pass when Riley comes in holding his head and crying. At first I though he had fallen off the trampoline. In between sobs it became clear that he had actually been hit in the head by Eriks golf club and had a huge goose egg with a little cut on it. Luckily it hit the side of his head and Riley is in need of a serious hair cut so it helped cushion the hit. I felt so bad. Riley was injured while trying to be the sheriff. He was worried that Erik was holding the golf club too high so he went in to tell him and in the process managed to get whacked. Poor Erik was like, what happened? I never cease to be amazed by kids’ resilience. Within an hour or so Riley was doing somersaults and jumping around. I can only imagine if I got hit in the golf club what I would be like. It would most likely involve a bed, a icepack, some ibuprofen, and a pint of ben and jerrys.
