Brooke has a ongoing love affair with her daddy. She has him wrapped around her finger and vice-versa. Tom left for a short work trip today and Brooke decided to draw a picture for him. I love that she even drew his goatee and that they are holding hands. She also is learning how to write her last name. I had written it on top of a sheet of paper and had her copy it over and over. Then I gave her a new sheet of paper and told her to write it without looking at the name. Next thing I know she is giggling and had her eyes closed trying to write her name, yeah I needed to clarify. She was however able to write her name with her eyes closed. Silly girl. I love that her and her daddy have such a close relationship and hope they always will.

Happy Birthday to the man who gave me three beautiful babies, and the man who I would be happy to make at least that many more with. ;) You have made me a very lucky girl, I love you.
Almost a year and just now I am posting, our life here in Denver is just crazy crazy. Luckily for me that will all be changing, our life will no longer be so busy in Denver, it will now be busy in Dallas. Yep, we are moving.....again. It's just the way our life is going right now. We get settled in a house (luckily we are renting) and Tom gets promoted and transferred. There are definitely worse things and we are actually quite looking forward to the move. I mean who wouldn't want to move somewhere were you can wear extremely tight fitting wranglers and sequined vests. Bring it!!! Tom is now a Regional HR Manager for Saia motorfrieght. I can not tell you all how proud of him I am. We were talking about how he just started at Saia almost exactly 3 years ago as a Dock Supervisor, and here we are nearly 3 years later with the position of Regional HR Manager. I am filled with such gratitude to our Heavenly Father and his blessings he pours on us. God is so mindful of us all and what we need. Anyways we are actually leaving on a 7 night Cruise to the Mexican Riviera for our 10 year anniversary. We are going with Eli and Asia, and Chris and Krystal. It is going to be so much and so needed. I am looking forward to reconnect with my cute redhead hubby! Life is good and I will try and post when we get back!!!!
So today is another day spent in our pj's we watched "Over the hedge" and had a delicious lunch of peanut butter sandwiches. I was looking over some pictures that are overflowing on our SD cards and came across this video. I had to laugh out loud. This was last Sunday night while I was at work. I guess Tom decided to have a band with the kids. I like to think Brookie got her awesome air guitar skills from me. Tom is better at remembering to just "play" with the babies than I am. What a good daddy Tom is, I'm one lucky girl...
Today is my hubby's 30th birthday. On the day Tom was born God must have been in a very good mood. He gave Tom a great sense of humor and as he has spent the last 8 years married to me he has needed it! I feel so lucky to be married to such a sweet "boy" and the fact that we get to be together for eternity is just icing on the cake. So here are30 things I Love about my babe:
1) Too funny all the time! Not a day goes by when he doesn't make me laugh, especially if I'm mad at him.
2) His fiery red hair...A Hot Red Head? Who knew!
3) Loves to travel and try new things!
4) Changes almost as many dirty diapers as me!
5) He laughs and cries every time we have a new baby.
6) Loves Italian food, good thing he married an Italian girl!
7) I love it when he starts laughing so hard and can't stop and starts crying....so funny.
8) I love that he is always willing to be goofy with me...buck teeth, wigs and all.
9) He always is working so hard to provide for our little family.
10) He has great taste in best friends, they just "happen" to be married to my best friends, could it be any better?
11) His cute little Irish green eyes, with a name like Lillywhite and the red hair I have my own leprechaun.
12) He watches cheesy "girl" movies with me as long as I watch cheesy "boy" movies with him.
13) His home town is @ Bear Lake, honestly could it get any better than that?
14) He makes a great "skinny dipping" partner ;)
15) He wakes up with the kids in the middle of the night EVEN if he has to work in the morning!
16) He eats every meal I make him, even the spinach and ham casserole disaster of 2001.
17) He is always worried about if our kids are going to turn out all right, and that we aren't damaging them by sleeping in on the weekends (of all things?).
18) I love it when he text messages pictures of the Mt. Dew he had for lunch as a form of confession.
19) I love that I have only heard him swear once, and yes it was at our 1year old son in Old Navy but that is a whole other story.
20) He can track down a freshly mowed golf course in the dark with just his nose.
21) He is always encouraging my interests and hobbies and telling me to go have some girl time.
22) He is not a complainer and has a ton of patience, must be some of the great traits he picked up from his momma.
23) He loves his kids completely and totally and would do anything for them
24) Possibly the best kisser in the world.
25) Has the work ethic of an ox. You wouldn't imagine the drama that comes in to play when he HAS to call in sick for work.
26) He loves his family, AND my family.
27) He is good at every sport he tries....honestly everything, OK expect for shuffle board but there has to be one.
28) He has the cutest butt!
29) He honors his priesthood and is always trying to be better and try harder
30) I love it when he starts laughing so hard and then it turns into a little girl giggle, and starts crying...too funny!

Thank you for being willing to do everythingandanything for your little family. Thank you for teaching our children to choose the right, and that family comes first. Whats this you may ask, are the Lillywhites trying out some new grilling technique? No, this is a birds nest...yes a birds nest. Tom and I planted the lawn in the back on Monday, we noticed a lot of birds in the back yard and I even saw some carrying twigs and thought, "Oh that's cute!". Well yesterday Tom went on the deck to grill up some hamburgers and this is what he found when opened the grill, a HUGE birds nest. People they built this thing in a day and half....what is this world coming to? It was like they were building a habitat for humanity nest, I mean come on... Luckily their were no birds and even better no eggs yet. Tom came and got me, I laughed, took a picture and left him to clean it up. This may have been a bad idea as about 5 minutes later I smell what smells like a campfire. I go back out to the deck and yes, it's what you think, Tom fired up the grill...What the heck? I was laughing so hard. What was he thinking, now I do give him credit he had cleared out as much as he could but "couldn't" get the stuff out of the bottom of the grill, so he fired it up. Yep, thats my hubby...and thats why I love him, he makes me laugh every day...
Have I told you all how lucky I am to married to my sweet hubby? Last night, well actually this morning, Tom got home around 1:15am (an early night). I had been in bed and asleep for nearly an hour. Well this morning around 8:00 Tom leaned over took Elle from my arms, (yes she is still in our bed), and told me to sleep in...and boy did I!! I slept in until nearly 9:30, it was soooo nice. Thanks babe for always taking care of me, and even though I don't say it enough, I love you and am so glad you are mine...
We finally broke down today and signed up for Comcast Internet...finally. This is the first time in nearly 5 years that we have had to pay for Internet so I can't really complain, we had a good run... Tom is almost done with finals and I could not be happier. Just the internship that his new HR position will cover and we are done....YIPEE!!! I can't imagine a world without homework or finals...so nice. It has taken so long but has been worth it. On Wednesday Krystal, Kishell and I took all the babies on a free front runner ride. Lets just say 2 1/2 hours later I was wondering the wisdom of it all. We rode from the Roy station to the Woods Cross station and back. It was sooooooo busy, I guess that is to be expected when it's free. I had Elle strapped to my back in the back pack and Riley and Brookie walking. I had to stand the whole time from Woods Cross to Roy with Elle asleep in the back pack. My back was killing me and we were the entertainment for the fully loaded train. Amazingly no one was interested in offering us their seat...oh well. A group of Grandma and Grandpas did take Riley and Brookie on their laps (I was standing directly by them) for the whole ride back...Yes, Brookie wants to be kidnapped. All in all it was good that we went but I am looking forward to riding it tomorrow with the assistance of Tom. We are going to go with Candi and Kelly to gateway with the kids. I need a break and I guess that will do. Krystal came over tonight and we got stuff ready for the Mothers Day project group I am hosting next week so look for some pictures tomorrow. I'm gonna go cuddle in bed with my baby and hope that Tom will get home early again like last night (12:45am), I can't wait for a normal schedule....only 6 weeks...YIPEE!!!
8 years ago today I married my sweetheart in the Bountiful Temple. He is my better half and my best friend. We have had probably the most rewarding and difficult year of our marriage the past year and are still kicking, .....and kissing. I can't believe how fast time goes but I guess thats ok since we have eternity. So here are the top 8 things I love about being married to you.... 1. Someone to always laugh with and at me... 2. You gave me 3 amazingly beautiful kids....I couldn't have done it without you.... :) 3. You always hold my hand...and put up with my bare feet 4. You're crazy cute...and have the cutest butt...there I said it.... 5. You sacrifice Mind (School), Body(no sleep), and Soul (Golf?) for me and the babies... 6. You are a great provider, I never have to worry about "making" it... 7. You never complain about me taking time for myself...in fact you encourage it... 8. You are always striving for our eternal family, and for that, I love you more than anything...
I love you Tom...heres to 80 more years....at the very least...
Well after 2 Dr's appointments and a week of thinking I was going insane I finally found out that I was sick, in fact that I had strep. Mind you this is after I spent the day out and about at the movies and etc. and then went to church the next day and taught a room full of 5 year olds. And we all wonder how we keep getting sick....Sorry. Needless to say our with all the runny noses and sore throats there have been a lot of baths and showers in our house. Elle has been on a serious antibiotic and in return has gotten some serious diaper rash. We have been giving her baths and showers at least twice a day to help keep it clean. She loves the bath and has actually recently fell in love with the shower. She just completely relaxes. It is so cute, the moment she gets in the shower she rests her head on your shoulder. Last week she almost fell asleep in the shower and when I did finally pull her out she fell asleep wrapped in a towel. It was so funny but of course I didn't take any pictures...duh. I have also been wondering if any other moms use the bath for pure entertainment purposes. Often I will just throw Riley and Brooke in the bath and let them play for 30+ minutes. Sadly by the time I pull them out they look like human raisons but I have been able to get some things done and they ahve been entertained! Anyways I hope you enjoy the pictures and as for the ones of Tom and Elle in the shower; for all you know he is wearing a bathing suit...hehehe.
I noticed that my last couple of post have been quite the downers. Needless to say in the name of "count your many blessings". I give you a few of my favorite things...these are not in any particular order....
*Hot baths, nothing quite soothes MY soul quite like a long, scalding hot bath... (I try to make this a nightly ritual..)
*Crisp, clean sheets...couple this with the aforementioned and I am in heaven...
*Good Movies...old, new, scary, funny, I don't care as long as it's good...(We just saw "Horton Hears a Who" yesterday and we give it 2 thumbs up!!)
*Brand new babies, I think I am cursed to be eternally baby hungry there is nothing quite like a new baby (Mindy is already making me jealous with baby Peyton)...
*Oreo Cookies and Cold Milk, need I say more....really...
*Acqua Di Gio, preferably on Tom but I don't discriminate :)
*Americas Funniest Home Videos, I'm old school I know but nothing is better than a good belly laugh at someone else's misfortune. (I still laugh out load when I think about the lady on the motorbike, giving the kiss of death....Candi? Kelly? you know what I'm talking about!)
*Thunderstorms, possibly my favorite kind of weather, especially when cuddled up with someone I really like....
*Sleeping with my babies in my bed, call me crazy but I love having them in bed with me, so does Tom and I really do miss it when I finally get them sleeping in their own beds. Sure they get sweaty and wiggly but there is nothing quite like a sweet baby to cuddle with, especially when Tom doesn't get home until 2 or 3am.
*Girlfriends: I feel so blessed to have so many close girlfriends. I love the long phone conversations, the play dates, the girls nights out and the (of recent) IM conversations. You all know who you are and I don't know what I would do without you all.....
*Being Married: Sure there are the fights the annoying habits and the full release of any reservations when it comes to bodily noises but who cares....being married rocks. I get to have my best friend with me all the time, and he "gets" me completely. I wouldn't trade it for anything..
*My Kids: along the same lines of the previous, sure you get stretch marks, and no sleep, rare showers and even less time alone there is nothing like being "the one" they want when they are scared or hurt, or just sad...love it!
*Blogging: yep I love it, it's awesome to stay in touch with everyone, and for the first time in a long time I am finally keeping some sort of a journal.
*Family: As I'm sure most of you know family is the end all with me...it all begins and ends with family. It is by far my most treasured possession. This includes my little family and all of my extended family. When I married Tom is wasn't "his" family and "my" family it was our family and I feel blessed to have in laws that mean so much to me. On my side it has been so nice to live so close to everyone and that is by far the hardest thing about leaving to Denver.
Well hopefully that was a more upbeat post, I now tag the following to list their favorite things:
Today was one of those days that I realized what a good husband Tom is. We got our cell phone bill and it was over $600.00!!! Now we all know I like talking a lot but even I was suprised and sickened by that amount. Well my sweet husband didn't even freak out. He was so patient and just said "it's ok, we will figure it out.." He even said he would call and talk to them. I just think of how I would have reacted and it would not have been so christlike. I probably would have freaked out in true "Briscoe" fashion. I ended up calling AT&T and working it out, (they waived all the overage charges, over $450, and even credited us an additional 2000 rollover minutes). The problem was that we switched plans and had 8500 roll over minutes that we were told (untruthfully) would continue on our new plan. Well only 550 of those actually came over and so we went over our minutes. Luckily I was able to get it all worked out and didn't even lose my temper with the customer service reps. I guess I learned that kindness goes a lot further than anger... So it's official..I love my husband. Hopefully I can be more like him...and he won't pick up anymore of my bad traits. P.S. Unless you are on at&t you will probably be getting a lot less phone calls and a lot more emails...
Welcome to our little blog. As you will notice it comes in spurts, sometimes several posts in a few days and then the silence of weeks and sadly months of nothing. I guess you can tell the pace of our family from the frequency of the posts. We are a busy little family but hopefully the moments of love and happiness are more frequent that the moments of complete craziness. Love, The Lillywhites
