Uh Yes, I'll have the Influenza and ear infection with a side of RSV...

So Riley woke up this morning with a fever and Tom was down for the count. I finally decided to give in a take everyone to the doctors. We left around 1:30 and took Elle to her doctors’ appointment. She was so mad when the doctor started poking around at her. He checked her ears and sure enough she has a ear infection and on top of that RSV. Luckily she is doing really well with the RSV so we are just watching her. She cried for 45 minutes after the appointment, that’s even longer than when we got her ears pierced. Finally she cried herself to sleep. After we got done with that we took Tom over to the Instacare as all of the primary care doctors were booked solid. We waited for about 45 minutes and then Tom went back. An hour and a half later Tom emerged with a diagnosis of full fledged Influenza. So I get my wish Tom home on Valentines Day, just not the circumstances I was hoping for. Anyways, I'm tired. Knock on wood that I won't catch anything...

Sneeze, Cough, Vomit, Repeat...

Today has been one of those days. Poor Elle is a giant mucous factory in a small body. She has been coughing, and sneezing, and then vomiting the mucous everywhere. I feel so bad for her but in the midst of it all she had been pretty darn happy. I do think I am going to have to take here to the doctor tomorrow as she still has her fever. Earlier today it looked like a snail was on the loose in our house. There were tiny snot trails all over me and, our couch, courtesy of my little girl. Riley pulled out his other loose tooth after 15 minutes of writhing and squealing. It was hard not to laugh at him as he tried to pull it out. He was so worried, even more than he was last week when he lost his first tooth. Well, I’m tired so I'm going to go to sleep with my little snot factory! Wish me luck!

My Valentines day and early Easter projects!

I thought I would post what I have accomplished this weekend. We had Marianne stay with for a couple nights. It was nice to get to spend some time with her. She was out for Ted and Jens sealing to Cole. Sadly Tom and I weren't able to come as Tom found out late yesterday that he had to work today! Yuck!! Hence the project's. I figure it's Saturday so I should be able to do something besides clean. The valentines are a fun project that I found on www.splitcoaststampers.com they are super easy to make especially with the use of Krystals crimper. I need to get me one. The card is what I am working on for the card group. The theme is Easter and I think the peep turned out pretty cute. I even came up with the idea all my self that is a miracle in and of it's self. Anyways, I'm gonna go Elle has a nasty cold, Claire has RSV and I am just hoping that is not what we have. She did have her immunization shots on Monday so I am praying that is what is going on, unlikely I know but a girl can dream....

My son is growing up!!

I found this picture of Riley on our computer. He is growing up so fast! This last sunday he lost his first tooth. Seeing pictures of him as a baby makes me want another little boy! Just not quite yet, I keep teasing Tom that we need twin boys next so we can be done. He's not so keen on the idea.

Rolly Polly Olly!!

Our sweet little Elle had her 6 month appointment today, to look at her you would think we never fed her. She 18 lbs 15 oz today. I can't believe how big she is. She is even bigger than Brookie was. Riley was 18lbs at 18 months. She is just too cute and oh so rolly. The doctor said she is in the 90th percentile for weight and the 50th for heigth. I guess she is built like me, short and squatty. We couldn't stop laughing at her in the dr.'s office. She did have to get 3 shots so tonight should be interesting . I'll write more later...

I've been tagged!

I'VE BEEN TAGGED!
A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 Years Ago: I was a junior in highschool.
5 Things On My To Do List Tomorrow: 1. Work out 2. Catch up the last 3 epsidoes of Lost. 3. Fold about 7 loads of Laundry 4.Scrub my bath tub 5. Hopefully get in a nap, (not that likely).

Snacks I enjoy...this would be shorter if it was snack's I don't enjoy! I love, fresh pinapple, oreo cookies with a tall glass of milk, any ice cream, granola bars, and salsa verda doritos! Yum!!

What would I do if I were suddenly made a billionaire? Buy a nice(r) house, get Tom his dream truck, pay off all of our bills, take all my favorite people on a 2 week trip to Hawaii. I'm sure Tom would have some other things he would like to do to..Oh yeah, and definatly pay tithing!!! (hehehe)

3 Of My Bad Habits: I love eating dessert in bed! I hate cleaning out the fridge, Tom usually ends up having to do it :(! Rather than just having one junk drawer,I have 2 junk drawers and a full cabinet! Horrible, that should be on my to do list!

5 places I have lived: California, West Point, Salt Lake City, Sandy, and Roy

5 Jobs that I have had: I have been a party hostess at a kids play land. (We actually had to wear red sweats, and a yellow shirt that said "Fun Patrol" on the back). I have been a telemarketer, not my most shining moment, a 411 operator, a receptionist at PCMC and of course a storage unit manager!

Things people don't know about me: I am actually pretty shy until I get to know you, I am a sucker for all animals, and secretly want a dog some day. Regardless of how old I am I still feel like the little sister around my family.

I tag: (Ok I don't know how to create a hyper link, so I'll have Tom help me tomorrow, in the mean time the links are in the upper right corner)

Don't it make my blue eyes red.....

So we have had an eventful week, Elle got her ears pierced on Sat. She was so cute and didn't really cry...it was more of a yell. She carried on for about 10 minutes just yelling at us, it was so sad but she looks so cute. Brooke was all worried about Elle. In fact Tom and the kids went out of the store so "the kids" wouldn't get upset about Elle crying, I really think it had more to do with Tom not wanting to see Elle hurt. We taught our new class on Sunday, Tom and I have been called to be CTR 6 teachers. They are a rambucious class but good for a laugh. Monday Riley had school off, we had another major snow storm so we all just stayed in. I was so lucky to have Riley and Brookie wake up Tuesday morning with raging pink eye. Last Friday Riley came home and said, " Ethan had pink eye!" This is a boy in his class but I didn't give it much thought figuring who would send there child to school with pink eye. Well this boy is also in Rileys class at church. Needless to say Riley now has it. I was able to get some medicine and hopefully he can atleast go to school on Friday. Yuck! Thankfully neither Tom, Elle, or I have got it. Knock on wood!! Well, one of the children is waking up, last night Tom came home @ 2:30 to find me and all 3 kids in bed with me. I'll write more this week, we have some new developements in the Lillywhite household.
P.S. Congrats to Marianne and Steven on the news of a boy!!! We love you!!

Just another day in paradise....

Today I heard that song on the radio and thought, you know what it's true. There is no place I would rather be than in my house with my 3 babies and my sweetheart. We just hung out today, Riley didn't have school so we did absoulutly nothing productive. I have the messsy house to prove it, in fact I have 12 bags of grocerys waiting to be put away but they can wait till morning(I did at least put away to cold stuff.) It was nice and I don't even feel to bad...I think my kids think of me too often as the wicked witch of the west, hopefully days like this will make up for that.

Winter Wonderland!!

The weather here in Utah today is crazy. This picture is of our neighborhood from our porch. It had been storming nonstop. We have gotten well over a foot of snow so far and it is still coming. Tom is out there somewhere trying to make his way home so he can then drive in to Salt Lake for work. He is already an hour late in leaving. Crazy Crazy weather but I have to admit that I love it. Riley is home from school today sick and I love the feeling of having them all tucked in tight and warm in their beds for naps. It makes me want to whip up some hot chocolate and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies..to bad I'm trying to lose weight. This is the first Winter in years that I can remember there being so many storms so close together. Tom is pushing snow for Alamo and said there is well over 18-20" of snow up there. You know its a lot of snow when Tom gets stuck while pushing snow. That is part of the reason he is so late. I guess hwy 89 is closed down because of an accident so that is not helping the cause. Anyway all the snow motivated me to blog our Monte Cristo sledding so you get more pictures. I know you are so excited but oh well. It sounds like Tom is home, I better check out the damage.

Christmas 2007

Make a scrapbook - it's easy!

This was Elle's first Christmas and our first Christmas in our house. It is so fun to have so many little ones to share the magic of Christmas with. We had lots of parties and spent a lot of time with family. We had a housewarming party with all our friends and family. We were able to finally make it up to Laketown on the eve of Christmas eve. Fred and his "friend" Sarah were up there and we had a fun time killing bunnies...it's a game. We then had the annual Christmas eve party at my parents house it was so nice to spend time together. This was probably the fastest Christmas season we have ever had. It seemed like it just flew by. Tom surprised me with a new area rug for our front room so I can finally lay Elle down without feeling bad about the wood floor. He also suprised me with a garbage disposal. This may seem to some of you a horrible present but it is really what I wanted. I am so happy to finally have one. The garbage in my kitchen is smelling less and less like a dump. Hurray for that. The kids had a ton of fun on Christmas and it was so nice to have a white Christmas.

We decided to move our computer upstairs in our room so Tom has a quiter place to work on school work so hopefully I will be able to keep up on my blog better. Frank and Amy are back from California. Frank is officially a mortician and we are so happy that we have one in the family. Maybe we can get a discount later on down the road. Hurray for family moving closer. With Jim and Becky so far away it seems like we gain one but lose one. Here is a shout out to Jim & Becky...we miss you guys!! Good luck with your fence!! Ok I am going to go for now...

This is for Frank & Amy

My My how time flies. I have been meaning to update our blog but up until a week ago our computer room was jammed with boxes and the rubbermaid container we were using as a chair just didn't seem very inviting to me. We have moved in and are actually almost settled. Things have just been so busy and as I am learning will probably continue to do so. It seems as though life is like a train always gaining momentum and never slowing down, well until you die and then it is more like a bad train accident not a nice slow stop. Tom and I were talking about how it seemed like
Christmas took forever to get here when we were kids, but now we are looking at each other thinking, "is it really December?" It has come up on us so fast. Anyways I plan on updating more frequently now, but no promises. Elle is currently on antibiotics for her first ear infection. Yuck!! We are looking forward to Christmas in our new house. We really enjoyed having Jake and Amy stay with us for Thanksgiving and to all you outoftowners our house is always open. We love you all!!
Love- Dani
p.s. our SD card is MIA so no pictures, sorry not much has changed, The kids are still cute, Tom is still a red head, and I'm still chubby.

"Moving Day" is fast approaching...

I can't believe how fast the past 2 months have gone by. Elle is getting bigger everyday, Brookie turned 3 and Riley started school. Add on to that the fact that Tom and I got our new house and Tom's relativly new job and we have been a busy little family. I am so excited about our house and it is really coming along good. Tom and I spent about 12 hours on Sat. working on the house and we still have alot left to do but luckily it is mostly stuff that can be done once we move in. I am so happy to soon be able to be a full time mom. I have not had a job for all but 12 months out of the 7 1/2 years that we have been married. I can't wait to be able to have people calling on the phone that I actually want to talk too. We are moving this weekend and hopefully we will be there for more than a few years. We will post more pictures of the house once they have the carpet and tile all the way done...

Love- Dani & Tom
p.s. We are so glad Tom's family has all jumped on the blog bandwagon...it's fun to get to see all the cousins.

Waka Waka Waka......

A man in Topeka , Kansas decided to write a book about churches around the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working east from there. Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making notes. He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with a sign, which read "Calls: $10,000 a minute." Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to heaven and if he pays the price he can talk directly to God. The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way.
As he continued to visit churches in Seattle , Dallas , St. Louis , Chicago , Milwaukee ,and around the United States , he found more phones, with the same sign, and the same answer from each pastor. Finally, he arrived in Utah , upon entering a church in Salt Lake City,Utah, behold - he saw the usual golden telephone. But THIS t ime, the sign read "Calls: 35 cents." Fascinated, he asked to talk to the bishop,
"Bishop, I have been in cities all across the country and in each church I
have found this golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to
Heaven and that I could talk to God, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000 a minute. Your sign reads only 35 cents a call. Why?" The bishop, smiling benignly, replied, "Son, you're in Utah now......It's a local call!"

Cheesy Cheesy but made me chuckle....Dani

Tom and I have felt an outpouring of love and support from everyone and can never repay you for all of your hard work. Though I think we will spend the next couple of years trying!! Riley started school today. I can't help but have this feeling like I'm losing him. I know I'm not but I realize that the days of having him all to myself are gone. I now have to share him with the world, and even though it just the small world of kindergarten its bigger and scarier than home. I was so proud to see him so confident going into his class. I hope he carries all of that confidence with him forever. Love- Dani

Little China Doll...

Tom and I bought this dress when we were in New York 4 years ago. Tom found it yesterday and put it on Brookie she looked so cute. We even found some cute pink "Chinese" shoes to match it. We put it on Brookie to wear to church today but her cute little tummy busted out the zipper, then tom "caught" her cute little tummy in the zipper. Needless to say Brooke screamed and the dress will not be making an appearance anytime soon. You'd have to say she looks very cute. I may try and fix the zipper, but doubt I will be able to do to my lack of any real sewing skills. Anyways things are going good with the house and I will post some progress pictures of our own sinking titanic. Love you all- Tom & Dani

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo

Riley loves he Geotrack train and decided to get it out today and build a huge track that ran the full length of our kitchen and front room. We propped baby Elle up to watch, she like it for the first couple of minutes but after that just wanted to be off of her tummy. We are busy busy with the house but are sooo excited. I will post some pictures later.

My smiling 3 week old....

I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes and figured you all probably wouldn't either so I took pictures. Elle is such a sweet baby and so aware of everything that is going on around her. She started smiling last thursday (my birthday!!) and has continued. She is growing too fast and as of her 2 week appointment had gained almost 2 lbs in 2 weeks. I have a feeling she is going to be a chunky monkey like her sister. Riley and Brooke just love her to pieces. Love you all....Dani
P.S. Happy Birthday Honey!!!
